Administrative and Communications Executive
The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal relationship skills, enjoy interacting with people, and gain satisfaction from outcomes of administrative work.
Qualifications and Requisites
- A-level/Diploma holder
- At least 1 years of working experience in similar capacity
- Computer literacy – MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint and WordPress
- Detail-oriented and good communication
- Ability to handle administrative duties in Chinese and English
Responsibilities and Requirements (but not limited to):
- Communications & Media
- Manage and update website and other social media platforms like Facebook, YouTube.
- Send regular mailers in soft or hardcopy to partners and supporters of BTS.
- Maintain corporate materials like event photos, videos etc.
- Maintain databases.
- Administrative Support in the Business Office
- Reception
- Process mails and file documents
- Liaise with vendors for regular and ad-hoc onsite support
- Liaise with vendor on IT needs
- Manage and replenish supplies/inventories
- Assist in organising of BTS Events
- Provide support for classroom setup, new and graduating student matters, course feedback and periodic church seminars and workshops.
Working hours: 5 days week (with some occasions on a Saturday)

Library Officer
Qualifications and Requisites
- Must be a Christian with ‘A’ Levels / recognized diploma / degree in any discipline.
- At least 2 years of working in a library in a similar capacity or in information management, with some supervisory experience.
- Previous experience in working in an academic library or experience in library management system and Library of Congress classification is an advantage.
- Verbal and written proficiency in English and Chinese (i.e. Hanyu Pinyin keyboard method) to work with materials in both languages.
- Good computing skills: Microsoft Office Skills are essential, able to learn to use new software (e.g. MARCEdit) that helps with work.
- Good search skills: Experience with performing searches on databases.
- Ability to be independent, methodical, detailed and well-organised are essential.
- Able to supervise subordinates.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Only Singaporeans and PRs need apply.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update the library management system (Vibrant)
- System maintenance: communicate with system vendor to keep the system operating well.
- Learn the features of the system to work efficiently.
- Update BTS library portal e.g. announcements.
- Maintain and improve Library services, collection and facilities to support faculty and students
- Ensure good customer service to users, help users with enquiries.
- Review and improve library policies and procedures where needed.
- Ensure all Library operations and facilities are working well.
- Initiate stocktake and weeding exercises to keep collection up-to-date.
- Acquisition (both English and Chinese books)
- Source for and purchase books and other resources.
- Prepare book lists for faculty recommendation.
- Review collection needs based on feedback and curriculum.
- Manage the Library budget.
- Cataloging
- Catalogue library materials according to the Library of Congress classification system to ensure accuracy when searching the database.
- Follow Anglo-American Cataloguing Rules (AACR) and BTS library requirements to ensure consistency in catalog records.
- Make corrections for records and upkeep the Authorities.
- Library personnel management
- Training and supervising Library Assistant.
- Recruit student assistants / Field Education students and plan schedule for students on lunch time duty.
- Ensure student assistants are well-trained.
- Journal (and other periodicals) subscription (both English and Chinese)
- Subscribe journals.
- Renew journals.
- Recommend journal titles to faculty.

Requirements:
Earned degree of theological nature from an accredited seminary or university, such as PhD and ThD. Have several years of teaching experience in a seminary and pastoral ministry; committed to Baptist statements of faith and theological perspective; possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
